Opening Keynote

Kevin Biggar is a New Zealand-based author, television presenter, and motivational speaker. Kevin refers to himself as the "Big Challenge Guy," and has many achievements and captivating life stories such as winning the Trans-Atlantic rowing race and being the first Kiwi to trek unsupported to the South Pole. 

Kevin has the ability to connect with his audience by sharing his inspiring personal stories of overcoming challenges and achieving success in life.

​He uses humor and storytelling to engage his listeners and deliver strategies for goal setting, teamwork, and overall efficiency in both work and life. His energetic and charismatic speaking style is bound to leave a lasting impression on the audience, inspiring them to pursue their own goals.

Lou Sapio

Lou Sapio is a strategy, business and people manager for MAX Academy. 

A first-class welder by trade, Lou has harnessed his passion for education to develop and build the skills of new workers in the crane industry.

​He has spent the last 20 years working for MAX academy and is 
highly respected in the industry for his technical knowledge and leadership skills. 

Lou was so impressive at the 2022 CICA Conference in Adelaide that CANZ is bringing him to New Zealand, to speak exclusively at the conference.
​

Greg Ward is the MC of choice for associations, corporations, C&I industry clients and more throughout New Zealand, Australia and globally. 

Averaging 80 to 90 events per year, from single-day engagements to week-long conferences, Greg is arguably the most experienced conference and event moderator in the country.

Greg is a regular fixture at the crane conference due to his incredible knowledge of our members.

Tony Alexander

Independent Economist 
Tony Alexander is a renowned Economics Analyst and Commentator in New Zealand. Tony has probably written more about the New Zealand economy than anyone else, having produced daily and weekly commentaries from 1987-1993, then weekly, monthly, quarterly, and many one-off pieces of analysis from 1993 through to 2019.

He is an accomplished public speaker much in demand and each year delivers between 50 and 100 presentations around New Zealand and offshore. He spoke at the 2021 & 2022 Crane Conference and is a sought after presenter, with his humorous, direct style appealing greatly to our members.

Nassim is an expert in immigration and runs a dedicated team of professionals, supporting businesses to navigate New Zealand immigration requirements and bring skilled people into New Zealand.
