Crane Leader of the Year Award
Entry Criteria
Judging criteria
The judging panel will select finalists based on the following criteria:
Showcase your skills, workmanship or special jobs you have been involved in and get industry recognition for your achievements.
Entry criteria
- Trainees must be currently in cranes training or have completed a National Certificate in Cranes in the past two years
- Trainees must have the support of their employer to submit an application
- Employers can nominate a trainee and complete the application form
- Evidence in the form of photographs, references, awards or accolades must accompany the application
The judging panel will select finalists based on the following attributes:
- An excellent standard of skill and workmanship
- Teamwork skills
- Commitment to the job, trade and potential for the industry
Crane Trainer of the Year Award
Entry Criteria
- The nominated trainer must be a registered crane workplace assessor with The Skills Organisation
- The nominee trainer must currently be training a trainee registered with The Skills Organisation, or have had a trainee complete their qualification through The Skills Organisation in the last 12 months
- The nominee trainer demonstrates a high level of ongoing support for the trainees
- They demonstrate commitment to and passion for delivering excellent industry training
- They have shown initiative to try and improve systems to cater for trainee needs

Crane Training Company of the Year Award
Entry Criteria
- The nominated company must have a trainee currently employed with them or have had a trainee complete their qualification with them in the last 12 months
- The nominated company must agree to undergo a workplace evaluation facilitated by The Skills Organisation as part of the judging process. The evaluation will take up to 3 hours and will take place from 7 June to 22 June 2016
- The nominated company displays exceptional support to industry training and trainee support is evident in the workplace
- Displays encouragement of training and professional development towards trainees
- Has implemented newer or better systems in the training workplace to provide trainees with an effective training environment

Crane Leader of the Year Award
Entry Criteria
- This individual must have been involved in the crane industry for a minimum of two years
Judging criteria
The judging panel will select finalists based on the following criteria:
- Contribution to the industry in a training, support, management or leadership role
- Demonstration of leadership in raising industry training standards resulting in the growth and success of the crane industry
- Is considered to be a role model by peers and industry, displaying integrity, respect and the ability to work within a team.
