The Rider Levitt Bucknall (RLB) Crane Index has just been released for the 2nd quarter of 2015. This index looks at cranes as an indicator for the construction industry. Each quarter RLB produce a report about the number of cranes by region with associated commentary.

This issue is available in the Members Resources area. Read here Chevron New Zealand General Manager, Dean Gilbert, announced today that Chevron New Zealand has signed an agreement with Z Energy Limited (subject to closing conditions) to sell its shares.
Mr Gilbert is looking to a smooth transition and states that there will be minimal impact to our interactions with Chevron NZ. In the interim, Chevron NZ will continue to operate in accordance with the existing terms of our agreement. Warning to those thinking of purchasing cranes online.
Tadano have been advised that a company selling cranes online in NSW in Australia has sold a counterfeit Tadano crane knowing full well that it was counterfeit. Lawyers acting on behalf of the purchaser sought a refund however have not been successful even though the crane did not contain Tadano parts and was also bearing a serial number plate that may possibly be fake. This is a warning to all companies purchasing cranes to check authenticity before paying for the crane. Excerpt from COF News May 2010

Voidable TransactionsA voidable transaction is where a liquidator can recover payments up to two years prior to a company going into liquidation. This meant that sub-contractors who had been paid for work could have that money recalled by the liquidator under current law.

The funeral is to be held on Saturday 14 February at 1.00pm at the ASB Arena in Tauranga. 2015 will see the removal of the Health and safety in Employment Act and the introduction of the Health and safety at Work Act (HSW Act). The HSW Act was introduced into Parliament in March 2014. It is currently before Parliament’s Transport and Industrial Relations Committee, which is considering public submissions.
